Church Registration – Frequently Asked Questions


How much is the service?

We charge a fee of N200,000 (Two Hundred thousand naira) for this service. Payment is due in full before commencement of the service.


What does the service cover?

The service covers the entire process. This includes drafting all the relavant documentation, official filing fees, newspaper advertisements, official seal of the church, and courier fees upon completion.


What is the registration process?

Once payment is made, we will do a name search with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Once the name is approved we will draft all the necessary documents for your review and signature. Simultaneously we will advertise the notices in 2 national newspapers. There is a 28-day period after publication which must be observed before moving to the next stage. Once we receive the signed documents from your end, and the 28-day period has elapsed, we will stamp the documents at the Courts and then we will file the documents with the CAC.


How long does the process take?

  • Name Search – 24 hours from submission
  • Publication in Newspapers – 28 days
  • Grant of Certificate: 1-2 weeks from filing

Total time – Approximately 6-8 weeks.


What information do you need in order to commence?

  • Proposed Name of the Church
  • Proposed Address of the Church
  • Documentation of Trustees – Name, Sex, DoB, Telephone number, Nationality, Address, Occupation, Email, Proof of ID
  • Details of Principal Officers – Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer etc
  • Aims and Objectives of Organisation
  • Constitution of the Church (we can draft this if one does not exist)


How can I make payment?

Payment can be made either online or by bank transfer.


Can I obtain a refund?

We strive to ensure that we provide the best level of service to you. However, if for any justifiable reason you are unhappy with the quality of our service, we will provide a refund of the fee. Please email [email protected] with full details of the reason for the refund request and we will respond within 3 working days. Please note that refunds are only applicable where the registration was never satisfactorily completed, or where there was an extreme delay in completion, which delay was occasioned by default on our part. We are not liable for delays on the part of the CAC.
