How much is the service?

We charge a fee of N15,000 (Fifteen thousand naira) for this service. Payment is due in full before commencement of the service.

What does the service cover?

The service covers the entire process from drafting the relevant documents, stamping in Court, publication in a National newspaper, and courier delivery within Lagos, Nigeria. Clients outside of Lagos are liable to pay additional courier costs based on their location.

How long does the process take?

The entire process takes 5-7 working days.

What information do we need in order to commence?

  • Current name in Full in this format – First Name Middle Name(s) Surname
  • New name in Full in this format – First Name Middle Name(s) Surname
  • Sex – Male or Female?
  • Reason for the change of name – Marriage? Personal preference? etc
  • Current profession
  • Scan/picture of current means of identification
  • Digital copy of your passport photograph

How can I make payment?

Payment can be made either online or by bank transfer.

What happens after payment?

Once payment is made, we will draft the affidavit and send a draft to you to confirm that the information is correct, once you confirm that it is, we will schedule a time for a member of our team to bring the documents to you for your signature and to pick up 2 passport photographs (only if you are based in Lagos*). After we get the document signed and the passport photographs, we will take the documents to be stamped by the court, and we will arrange for the newspaper publication. Once the publication is made, we will deliver the stamped documents and the newspaper publication to you, and the process is completed.

*For clients based outside Lagos, the document will be emailed for your signature, and you will send the signed document and passport photographs by courier to our office in Lagos.

Can I obtain a refund?

We strive to ensure that we provide the best level of service to you. However, if for any justifiable reason you are unhappy with the quality of our service, we will provide a refund of the fee. Please email [email protected] with full details of the reason for the refund request and we will respond within 3 working days. Please note that refunds are only applicable where the change of name was never satisfactorily completed, or where there was an extreme delay in completion, which delay was occasioned by default on our part. We are not liable for delays on the part of the third parties.
