It is not possible to obtain a ‘divorce certificate’ without the involvement of the court and going through the court process. This is because from a legal perspective, a divorce is actually an ‘order of the court’. Once a divorce is granted, the court gives an order for decree nisi, which then becomes a decree absolute after 6 months.
