How much does it cost to get an answer to my legal question?

There is no charge for your question to be answered. Answers are provided completely free of charge.

What is the mobile subscription service?

Users on mobile phone networks in Nigeria can subscribe to our service by texting ‘LAWPADI’ to our sms short code. Once subscribed, they will receive weekly content on various topics and an explanation of their rights in those circumstances. SMS costs N20 per sms.

How do I submit a question?

How long does it take for my question to be answered?

We endeavour to respond to questions within 24 hours, however this is dependent on the volume of requests. We will let you know if we are unable to respond to your query within 24 hours.

If I post a question, will my personal information be kept private?

Yes, your information will always be kept private. We reserve the right to use the question you ask and the answer we provide for any marketing or publicity purposes, however we will never use your name or personal information.

Do you answer all questions?

We respond to all queries, however in order to help us assist you, your question must be properly articulated and not just a random statement.

Who answers the legal queries?

We have a team of legally qualified lawyers who review every answer before it goes out, however sometimes an answer might be provided by a law student intern or paralegal under the supervision of a qualified lawyer.

Can I say LawPàdí is my lawyer?

No you cannot, we do not provide legal advice. We only provide legal information, and as such no lawyer-client relationship is created.
